In 3 months, I can officially say we have been in business for 20 years. We are likely never going to have a retail store, but our whole philosophy has always been about bringing great products and ideas to our clients everyday. As a pre-celebration and to give a BIG boost to the visability of Distinctive Interior Designs, we bought a small commercial van and got it professionally wrapped with a few eye-catching projects.
Take a look–we’re really curious to get your feedback.
Saying Goodbye Can Be Hard
Here’s my ‘old’ baby (Mom/ Business van). I actually cried the day I traded it in…not because I was going to miss my Honda Odyssey. I cried because it was the very last thing I had that tied me to the days of juggling driving my kids and their friends to ballgames and ice cream. They are all too old for that at this point, but I was able to relive those moments just a little while driving this 12 years old set of wheels around.
The New Wheels Before Wrapping
Yes…I celebrated (a little)! It is always fun to get something new, and the whole idea of having a really professional vehicle that I could carry much more to clients in is exciting. Especially since the new suspension wasn’t going to die under the weight of granite, flooring, cabinet, fabric, and furniture samples I now take with me EVERYWHERE.
Looking Smashing Any Way You See It!
Isn’t it cool?! My business has transitioned so much over the last 5 years that, yes, it actually made tremendous sense to emphasize that I do Kitchen & Bath design, Furniture & Flooring, plus a whole long list of other things. Unfortunately, the van is just too small to list them all!
Can I tell you, within the first 5 days of having this high impact visual I had 3 neighbors in my new area ask me to do things for them. They certainly knew I was an interior designer, but, until they saw that van, they had no idea how dedicated I am to doing what I love.
