We worked with Distinctive Interior Designs on two major renovation and design projects in our home and we could not be more thrilled with the results. Nicole brings a sophisticated design aesthetic and a vast knowledge of construction and renovation that assured us we were in good hands from the start. From our earliest big idea conversations to collaboratively discussing even then smallest details, Nicole was always available, insightful, pragmatic, and helpful - and she loves to get her hands dirty :) We transformed three bathrooms - including the primary bath, transformed an unfinished basement into the mancave/studio of my husband's dreams, created my own library sanctuary and, most recently, completely redid our large kitchen. I highly recommend Distinctive Interior Designs and love the spaces we created together!Posted on Google
Janae GeonnettiDecember 10, 2025Nicole has an incredible eye for design and truly listens to her customers’ needs. My husband and I recently moved into our home and wanted to start with a small project. I shared my vision with Nicole for the type of shades I wanted, and she immediately knew the exact material I would love. She brought an abundance of beautiful samples, making the selection process so easy. Our woven wood shades turned out absolutely perfect, especially against our freshly painted bedroom walls. We couldn’t be happier!Posted on Houzz

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the woven blinds we chose for our bedrooms. Nicole offers high-quality products, the selection process was quick and seamless, and we received the blinds in pretty quickly—which was impressive given they were custom-made to fit our windows.Posted on Houzz
HU-118118854December 9, 2025We are so happy with our mud/laundry room design by Distinctive Interior Design. We had very specific needs for accommodating a pulldown attic stair and a floor door opening into the crawl space. Nicole and Amanda created a design with custom cabinetry that gives us massive amounts of storage and counter space while providing easy access to both attic and crawl space. They also helped us with new flooring throughout our living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway as well as the laundry room. They transformed our living room area with their choices of sofa, chairs, area rug, coffee table, end tables.Posted on Google

Vince BordoNovember 19, 2025Our full-house remodel with Nicole, Amanda, Marlene and Shawn was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Right from our first conversations, Nicole and Amanda took the time to listen to the detailed requirements we laid out, including a fixed budget, and transformed them into a cohesive design that truly thrilled us. We appreciated their ability to interpret exactly what we wanted while staying within the financial constraints we set. Shawn (the contractor) and his team. executed the build phase with exceptional craftsmanship. The custom trim-work and flawless finish exceeded our expectations, every detail was handled as if they were working in their own home. It’s rare to see that level of pride in workmanship. Throughout the process, communication was superb: daily texts and emails kept us up to date on design development, contractor coordination, furniture selections and deliveries. It made a huge difference in our peace of mind to have that level of proactive engagement. Perhaps most importantly, when unforeseeable issues occurred (as can happen in a whole-house remodel) the team’s problem-solving mindset and interest in quick resolution stood out. They took every bump in stride, always focused on finding a solution, which made the entire project go far more smoothly than we ever anticipated. In short: Nicole and her team delivered on design, budget, quality and client experience. We couldn’t be happier with our newly remodeled home and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone seeking top-tier interior design and renovation services.Posted on Houzz
Jody WhitehurstOctober 10, 2025Can not recommend Nicole with Distinctive Interior Designs highly enough. My husband and I dreamed of renovating our dated kitchen and Nicole guided us on everything from paint colors for the cabinets, to cabinet hardware, to creating a more functional layout with a better flow. She was incredibly responsive and bent over backwards to make sure we loved every aspect of her design and installation. Nicole even made a special trip to visit us after the work was long since completed to make sure we were happy. Nicole Lorber with Distinctive Interior Designs in Marlton, NJ is meticulous, creative, caring, communicative, takes great pride in her work, and it shows in everything she does. We are so thrilled we found her and with our new kitchen!!Posted on Google
Theresa BSeptember 30, 2025I love my stunningly unique kitchen with its moroccan-inspired backsplash, modern light fixture and pulls and - best of all - hidden laundry unit. With condo living, space is at a premium so the beautiful rattan enclosure for a stacked washer/dryer is an attractive way to keep them accessible but out of sight. My priorities for this kitchen renovation were to hide the laundry and bring in the natural greens and wood tones outside my door. The butcher block countertop with green cabinets looks like a piece of furniture, breaking up the kitchen and living area while bringing the green and wood tones into the space. The space is both lovely and multi functional!Posted on Google
Christine MillerJuly 3, 2025Nicole and her team provided us with wonderful service during our home remodel. They helped us navigate through the many choices necessary to update our living room and very outdated kitchen. When an unforeseen problem arose, as they do during any home project, Nicole and her team were right there to help us find a solution. We couldn't be happier with the finished results. In fact we extended the project to include the powder room and laundry space. Nicole and her team are true professionals and will be there for every step along the way.Posted on Google
Jill AuerbachJune 25, 2025Nicole was the ultimate professional! She helped us pick out entire house window treatments, curtains, area rug and wall art. She has such a talented eye and so easy to work with! I love my new home!Posted on Google
Marnie GrayJune 21, 2025It’s hard to put into words just how thrilled my husband and I are with our home’s transformation. Nicole Lorber and her team, especially Susan Ansberry, turned our 25 year old home into a spa paradise. The work was timely, thoughtful, creative, detailed orientated and polished. It felt truly collaborative. Much time was appropriated to our very specific needs, hopes and dreams. We obviously recommend them without hesitation, and we’ve provided some proof of our beautiful home in the accompanying photos.Posted on Google
Ken BlackmonJune 10, 2025We recently completed our second project with Nicole and Amanda from DiD, and we couldn't be happier! After a successful basement renovation that even won an award, we turned to them again for a massive home renovation that took almost two years from planning to completion. Nicole served as our liaison with her fantastic contractor, who matched her dedication as our project manager. Nicole, with her Type A personality, brought an unwavering dedication to perfection as both a talented designer and a phenomenal businesswoman. Both she and Amanda helped us navigate this journey, making it manageable despite our busy lives. They truly listened to our tastes and worked within our budget, ensuring we achieved the finished look of our dreams. Their support throughout the process was invaluable, and we love the final results! Highly recommend their services!Posted on Google
Robin BerhangMay 21, 2025We have used Distinctive Designs now for a third time in my full time home as well as in my vacation home. During our recent home update, we sought out this team again because we always end up with a flawless and beautifully finished product. Our drapes and valances are always gorgeous and their ideas and input are invaluable to make them so. Nicole is an expert with color, textures and styles. Judy is talented with the needle and has a wonderful eye for detail and she made sure that our drapes and valances were installed properly and that every piece of fabric was in place. We are so impressed with the level of professionalism and thoughtful assistance provided to us by Nicole & Judy during this recent project. I would highly recommend them to any home owner looking to add unique window designs to their home at very fair prices.Posted on Google

Terri EdelmanDecember 3, 2024It was such a pleasure to work with Distinctive Interior Designs on my renovation project. Nicole and Susan were unbelievable...they listened attentively to my needs, my taste and my wants. They made suggestions that would improve on certain items (they were spot on) and then they developed a phenomenal concept. They took my initial idea and enhanced it tremendously with their creativity and knowledge of what looks great yet is functional. Their communication through every step of the process was precise. They selected the best contractors that I have ever experienced and they oversaw all of the work with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that there was minimal disruption and they delivered everything they promised (and more), on time and on budget. The whole process was "anxiety free" thanks to their expertise. I can not thank them enough and actually look forward to using them on future renovations knowing that I will be in capable hands!Posted on HouzzHU-661347973December 3, 2024I have worked with Nicole on my beach house and now my primary home. Sarah FlemingDecember 2, 2024Nicole and Susan were amazing to work with. They understood my esthetic and worked with me to accomplish the goal. My house has been completely updated and designed in both a functional and beautiful way. When stuff went wrong (through no fault of their own) they worked to resolve the issues and come up with solutions to make the project work. I plan to work with them again to finish the basement. Loved collaborating with them.Posted on HouzzHU-661347973January 4, 2024This is the second time we have worked with Nicole at Distinctive Interior Designs. Connie McCarronDecember 30, 2022Distinctive Interior Designs took our dated kitchen, eating area and family room and breathed new life into it with innovative design options that worked within our budget. Lots of ideas were brainstormed which opened our eyes to new possibilities. In the end we now have a bright, open living/kitchen space that reused some items and discarded others. The result is gorgeous and inviting.Posted on Houzz
Connie McCarronDecember 30, 2022Innovative ideas and an openness to work within our budget highlighted our experience with Distinctive Interior Designs. Nicole and her team took the dark and dated kitchen, eating area, and family room and created a bright, open and beautiful living space. The project was not without its hiccups and delays mostly caused by COVID supply line issues but in the end the results are brilliant and a joy to live in these “new” spaces.Posted on Google

Meredith MaggiacomoNovember 12, 2021It has been 10+ years that I have entrusted Distinctive Interior Designs to help update our windows with blinds and curtains, had a comforter made, and pillows made for multiple rooms in my house. No job is ever too small or big for this company to take on. One of the more challenging projects was the two story windows that needed curtains and later blinds replaced. This required a lot of man power and multiple two story ladders to get this installed. It is impressive when the owner of this company is fully vested in the project and is willing to help with a complicated install by personally helping do the install. The visions they create for the rooms are aligned with the customer taste and I love that too. Cannot say enough good things about this company. Every time I walk into my house I love seeing the vision Distinctive Designs helped carry out in every room of my house.Posted on Facebook

Her extra carpentry services added more storage and ideas to open up counter space. And timing to complete was quick and professional. I highly recommend Nicole s company as full service and with wonderful taste.Posted on HouzzC RoseNovember 29, 2020We used Nicole for a project that included complete remodel of our master bath, updating our extra bath and powder room as well as kitchen backsplash and counter. My husband and I are not very knowledgeable with design and were smart enough to realize that going in. I found Nicole's company by searching and reading a lot of reviews and what stood out initially was her longevity in the business and how the business grew over time to include different types of services. Once we met Nicole we felt comfortable with her, with her knowledge and her professionalism. Nicole definitely provided a wealth of ideas, coordinated all the construction and was able to adapt quickly if an issue came up. Besides her design ability, willingness to listen and answer numerous questions, her patience was amazing as indecision on our end in making final selections prolonged project. Nicole handled all this calmly and with nothing but professionalism! We finished the project in fall of 2019 and are very pleased with the outcome. Our trust in Nicole and her work led us back to her this past summer for updating of our window treatments and once again she had great ideas and the windows in all the rooms look great. Nicole does great work and any project would be in good hands with her.Posted on Google
