When Larry reached out to Distinctive Interior Designs (after finding us on Houzz.com), he didn’t know exactly what he wanted for his new look. He only knew that he wanted his fireplace needed an update.
What did he have? There was wood flooring on the entire 14′ wall surrounding the fireplace, a toe-stubbing risk 1 1/2″ thick hearth slab, a family room that felt overstuffed as a reulst of the corner TV stand, and expensive audio equipment (at the forefront of the design around aspects).
We came to the new approach with a fresh perspective and many solutions–like using a nearby closet for the audio/ tech equipment and an infrared remote. Check out the before and afters below!!
