Both of these baths were original to this 1960s house. Liz needed someone she felt could trust to ensure everything was going to come together perfectly–from all directions–design concept, product selections, and contractor oversight. She finally found what she needed in us at Distinctive Interior Designs. We helped design & deliver two fantastic carrara tile baths both having their own unique look.
For the Master Bath, she selected a custom made dark walnut cabinet with inset door and drawers and topped it with a subtle quartz countertop. To ensure the two baths truly had their own style, Nicole encouraged Liz to ‘go for it’ when we found this highly functional arched topped medicine cabinet mirror (glass shelved, mirrored inside and interior receptacle included too). Because the mirror swung out it was necessary to change up the original vanity lighting from a top orientation to 2 side sconces. The custom shower has a highly useful large picture frame niche to house lots of toiletries.
In the second bath we installed crisp white subway tile over a 20″ deep Mirabelle tub, a carrara topped vanity with open bottom shelf, and 2″ hexagonal carrara floor tile. The greyed lavendar paint helped create a subtle, yet sophisticated, color addition that pops all the white and grey features.
